Great Motivational Songs from Children’s Movies
I am a huge fan of music from Children’s movies. I think its some of the greatest and most inspiring music I have ever heard. I listen to it all the time, and so when I recently stumbled upon a rather amazing blog post, I got really excited and decided to share it with you:
5 Great Motivational Songs from Children’s Movies.
- I’ll Make A Man Out of You – Mulan
- Just Around the Riverbend – Pocahontas
- Go the Distance - Hercules
- Learn to Do It – Anastasia
- Seize the Day – Newsies
and she gave an honorable mention to We’re All in This Together from High School Musical.
Of course, these are all wonderful songs, and they are all way up there on my list of motivational songs (and definitely not in this order), but I feel like there are a few other songs that were missing from the list.
So, in no particular order, I present a few more of Stephanie’s Motivational Songs from Movies I Would Have Been Allowed to Watch As A Kid (because some of them are more modern than me):
Tomorrow – Annie
You Can Fly, You Can Fly, You Can Fly – Peter Pan
Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah – Song of the South
The Climb – Hannah Montana: The Movie
Almost There – The Princess and the Frog
Flashback – Newsies #6
My sixth time seeing Newsies was June 27, 2012. I lottoed the matinee so I could hopefully see the show with Caroline!
They did some weird filming thing at the stage door that afternoon. The boys said something about dancing, or Memphis, or … Well, I don’t know.
Flashback – Newsies #5
My fifth time seeing Newsies was June 6, 2012. My assistant basketball coach from high school had been visiting NYC, and he had taken his family and I to see Phantom of the Opera.
Of course, I was already solidly a fansie of Newsies the musical (the movie had long ago become one of my passions), and might be one of the only people to walk out of a Phantom show (in this case, a matinee), with “Santa Fe” stuck in their head. Actually, I’m probably one of the only people to walk out of a Phantom show with anything other than Phantom stuck in their head.
It conveniently was a few minutes before the Newsies Lottery opened, and I had just bid farewell to my coach and his family, so I strolled over to the lottery, and got the chance to see Newsies again.
I don’t know if there were any swings on for that performance because I don’t have my Playbill with me right now.
