On May 17, 2012 after 2 weeks of rained-out games, the Broadway Show League (sponsored by the New York Yankees) resumed their 2012 softball season. Members of the Newsies cast and crew teamed up to play against the Marshalls (a team created from the combined efforts of two shows directed by Kathleen Marshall: Nice Work if You Can Get It, and Anything Goes). It was a beautiful spring day, and it was a lot of fun to cheer for the Newsies! They had so much spirit, and I can’t wait to see them play again when I’m officially out of work!
